Carvery was lush. Last time I went which was about 3 years ago wasnt imprrssed however last week was outstanding
We called in for a bite to eat Sunday afternoon , my partner and daughter opted for the Sunday carvery and i went for the mixed grill (should of gone for the carvery myself )....the carvery was excellent , plenty of choice and very tasty ...unfortunately i can't say the same about my mixed grill...the plate was full but no taste..compared to other places we have been to the mixed grill was poor...and then when they brought out our deserts our main meal plates were still on the table as they had forgotten to take them away...friendly staff and great carvery but unfortunately my meal has dampened what could of been an enjoyable visit
My wife and I have Sunday lunch here twice a month. Put it this way we would not go if we did not like it. The meals are excellent. If you have room to eat it, then you must try the chefs strawberry cheese cake.
The lady on the bar Amanda was fantastic she was run off her feet trying to serve drinks take food orders to the kitchen set tables bring thw food out and clear the tables Amanda i take my hat off to you.The main course was nice all be it a bit on the cold side the pudding how ever we sent back it was disgusting cream with lumps in it and crem brulee that was more like a mix between rice pudding and cold custard at best out of The 5 puddings ordered 4 went back no offer of our money back and no apology from the chef Amanda how ever did apologise for the puddings but not the kitchen staff.
Lovely meal. Lovely staff and so. Very warm and welcoming. Will definitely re visit. The Christmas Lunch was fantastic.
